Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Without Reservations
Review: What a wonderful book! I enjoy every single story as well as the next one. The book is an easy read, but complex and sophisicated in view and character. I haven't settled down to read a book for about six months (with the exception of Rushie's East West)and this book was so interesting. Living in Seattle also helped to connect me to the stories. I recommend this book to everyone!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Drive-by thinking
Review: When I first picked this one up I was thinking, "Hmm this may tie for my best read this year" ("Me Talk So Pretty" by David Sedaris was the other contender), then I got to "The Life and Times of Estelle Walks Above." Brilliant! I can always count on
Sherman for a good laugh, he writes what he knows and he's grounded and "out there" at the same time. With each book/project he gets better and better - I wish I had his kind
of talent! Subtle but genuine - he pets my brain. Mii Gwech
Sherman.
