Rating: Summary: Decent book, better if you haven't seen the movie Review: As a book, this is a decent book. As a book based off a movie, I don't see how it got so many good reviews when Resident Evil: Genesis didn't get as good reviews, at it followed the movie much better. After watching the movie, then reading the book, Apocalypse isn't a very good book. Too many details are wrong, and apparently the author doesn't know his weapondry very well. First of all, he keeps saying that the Nemisis's main hand weapon is a rail gun, while in the movie it is a chain gun. This would be acceptable if it wasn't for the fact that he describes it and the way it fires is a perfect description of a chain gun. And saying that the man in a cowboy hat on the roof of the building with the S.T.A.R.S. agents is sniping off zombies with a shotgun is rediculous, as you can't snipe with a shotgun. And my final complaint is that the author for some reason changes L.J.'s guns from two gold custom handguns to an Uzi for some reason. Though the book isn't entirely without redemption. The author does go into good detail about Matt's conflict with the Nemisis, and the back ground of a couple characters, including linking Jill Valentine to the video games. But that is about it. It is hard to believe that both this book and Genesis were written by the same person, and as a huge fan of the Resident Evil series, I was fairly disappointed with this book.
Rating: Summary: Helps you understand the movie better. Review: By no means is this book "amazing." If your looking for a thumping good read, try a LORDS OF THE RINGS or HARRY POTTER book. RESIDENT EVIL : APOCALYPSE (the book) is alot like the movie only it goes into detail a little bit better. If some things in the movie seemed unclear, this books helps fill in those gaps. Personally I liked the movie and I think the book is good to have along side the film. I'm a huge RESIDENT EVIL fan so I think it's safe to say that other fans will be pleased with the book too. People who don't like RESIDENT EVIL will find little to enjoy here.
Rating: Summary: An enjoyable read Review: I bought this sunday night...and had it finished by monday night...its like 277 pages and a rather quick and easy read, but enjoyable none the less...im so much more pumped about seeing the movie now...I loved all the characters but my favorite were Alice and Carlos Olivera. The action scenes are great..and one of the things i like best about reading the books is that you get to experience what the characters are thinking in movie scenes...anyway I loved this book...read it!
Rating: Summary: This book is awesome!!!! Review: If you loved the movie, then you will definintly love this book. It has everything you could want in a book, horror, drama, action, and much more. I recamend anyone who buys this book will be satisfied. Resident evil rock!!!
