Summary: pointless
Review: This book is completely pointless. There are no chapter breaks so it feels like a long run-on sentence. The characters are never fully described and seem two-dimensional at best. I honestly do not understand the glowing reviews this book has received.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: It's a start, but...
Review: Well, it took me forever to finish this book. I would pick it up, read it, get aggravated with it and put it down. I kept picking it up again, between other books, hoping that the story would pick up pace or read easier. No such luck.

The premise behind the story is a good one. Girl wants to fit in, meets boy, meets another (older) boy, fights with parents, etc. etc. Sure, the anguished teen story has been overdone. However, Ray's main character is more psychologically disturbed than the average teenager.

It would have been a great read if she could have delved into the relationships between the characters, rather than describing a two minute conversation over five pages. The book needs to help the reader understand the motives for the character actions, rathern than leaving us in the dark.

I think that the author has some potential. She needs to work on her flow and keep the reader in a more interactive role with the characters. But this book is a very frustrating read and I don't recommend it to those who have a hard time "getting hooked" within a story.
