Mariah is a dancer in a gentlemen's club. Stephan is the leader of a group of paranormal guardians that protect the California town of Talisman Bay. When they meet it alters reality.

Stephan keeps busy most days battling demons and other various paranormal beasts who invade his small town. He is known as a businessman and owner of an import shop on the pier. Very few people know that he is actually one of a band of merry men called the Shadow Walkers. The Shadow Walkers were fated as teens to protect and defend their town and they do a good job of it.

When Stephan sees Mariah dancing, he can see that she's been hurt by life and circumstances. Something instinctual tells him to follow her and he saves her life. Soon afterward, an abduction hits disturbingly close to home and Mariah has to go to Stephan for protection.

I could talk about this book all day but it would ruin the suspense and surprise inside. And there are twists and turns all through it! If Ashleigh Raine is single, I'm proposing marriage! She's a new author on the scene but an incredible story teller. This story has parts romantic suspense and parts paranormal romance and parts fantasy as well, all mixed together to create this award winner. And this is just the beginning of a series. I hope to visit this world again real soon!

Thrilling and Exciting this is a delicious novel that will make your toes curl and with some creepy character hunky heroes all added to the mix.

Even though this is only Ashleigh Raine�s second tale, they wield the writing pen like old pros.

The Shadow Walkers are sexy, they are strong, they are even a little cynical at times, but they are addicting and will live in a reader�s dreams for many nights to come.
