Summary: More than a well-written compilation of flight tales
Review: "Masterson offers unique insight into the human condition. Ultimate freedom and profound loneliness are juxtaposed throughout, clothing readers with the author's sense of contentedness, yet keeping them keenly aware of their own mortality. The tales are invigorating and fresh, and Masterson offers an earnest challenge to reader complacency."

Summary: This is your pilot speaking
Review: An acute visual...a vivid account...a must read for anyone interested in life as a pilot. Sky Masterson shares a good story...colorful prose...sensitive, believable characters...past and present skillfully portrayed.

Summary: A 5 star rating is really an insult . . . it's at least a 7
Review: I always hate it when the media "get's it wrong" about aircraft, flying, pilots . . . the world I share with Sky. This exceptional collection tells the story from a human perspective that is, frankly, so close to the truth it's scary. I have been that guy, in a training trance, on the way to my proficiency check.

This story should appeal to two audiences: those who would like the vicarious pleasure of a glimpse into an air carrier pilot's mind, and the air carrier pilots themselves. In the industry today, there are so many challenges and barriers that many professionals have lost their desire and love for flying. I would recommend this to anyone to help you remember why we do what we do. Thanks for telling the stories, Sky. They really are great.

Summary: Come fly with Sky
Review: I loved reading this book and feel that Sky Masterson has really hit a winner with his first novel. He's an extremely talented writer with the ability to bring the reader into the cockpit through words. He enabled me to visualize, to feel and to hear the events as they were happening. His great love affair with flying is evident in every story.

This book is a great read. With Masterson's talented use of words, this is just the beginning!

Summary: up front
Review: Pilots Of The Line is a collection of short stories about flying, written by a pilot, and who better to tell the tales. If you have ever wondered what life is like from the pilot's seat, then this is the book for you. If you are someone who travels by plane, this will give you a different perpective from the eyes and heart of someone who really knows.

A wealth of experience has shaped the tales in this book and they are rich with a love of flying... Sad, happy, insightful, scary, tender and oft times humorous, the story telling is so cleverly done that you are right there, in the cockpit, a part of the team, sharing their experiences through their eyes. I came away with an understanding of the passion that pilots feel -- my only regret now is that I am not one of them.

A truly enjoyable and fascinating book.

Summary: Straight scoop on airline flying
Review: Sky Masterson writes the real story about flying in a very interesting manner. There is substance in the stories and yet they remain highly readable. If you ever wanted to know what life is like in front of that secure cockpit door, you must read this book. It's a real page turner.

Summary: Airline flying from a pilot's seat.
Review: These stories give a true picture of the exciting, fascinating and occasionally scary life of an airline pilot. Most of us have wondered what goes on in front of "that door". This book opens that door & allows the reader to not only experience the complexity of flight but gives an insight into the thoughts & personalities of the pilots. If you have any interest in aviation you will find this book to be a wealth of knowledge & insight into the world of flight. I highly recommend it.

Summary: up front
Review: This is a great book, for airplane/airline fans, as well as one who just wonders what goes on up there! Written by a seasoned pilot, one feels as if he/she were up in the cockpit during each story. This book is very well written and fun to read, and is the kind that gets read too fast, leaving the reader yearning for more. What a great job it must be to fly airliners......this book puts you there!! A must read.
