Summary: Love Without Limits
Review: How do you reprimand a drug pushing gansta that the law just can't seem to touch? In Rage Times Fury it appears as if no one ever tried... that is until little M.J. became an innocent victim of a drive-by ordered by the neighborhood drug dealer, 'Drugs'. At that point it was up to M.J.'s father, Malik Ford, sr. and his boyz to exact a brand of street justice that would turn the dangerous Brooklyn neighborhood of Crown Heights and the life of 'Drugs' upside down.

In a raw and gritty style just like the mean city streets, Trustice Gentles captures the essence of inner city living and confines it between the pages of Rage times Fury. I found that there is room for character development which would have added length and a sense of connecting with each character, but in general it wasn't necessary to keep this fast paced tale moving, it would have aided in understanding why Malik, his friends, and even Soraya the mother of his children were willing to risk life and limb to go about things in the manner in which they did. Every parent wants a safe haven for their children, but having the ring leader, 'Drugs' tucked safely behind prison walls, did little to pacify Malik. There were still several others out there and even though it was nearly two years later, Malik's rage failed to dissipate. Why was he driven with the support of his woman Soraya, when women are generally more level headed?

Rage times Fury has an interesting storyline, written in first person, but lacks the depth of emotion in which I've grown to appreciate and feel it would have created a greater sense of tension like when they lay in wait outside of Trip's house, I could imagine the scene was intense, but couldn't feel it. Malik also enlisted the aid of a former friend and present enemy, 'Bam,' who agrees to assist without hesitation and his reason for aiding Malik was over simplified; he merely stated, "I have a son that I love also and I'll do anything for him." For reasons unknown Trustice did not develop an explanation as to why Malik would find this statement unforgettable. I was left pondering what it was about the comment that would move him to the point where it would have an everlasting affect.

Rage times Fury does roll right along when surprisingly it transitions into a series of related events, a twist if you will, which may allow Malik to complete his plan of revenge. Will Malik finally be able to put this issue behind him and find the peace that we all deserve?

Overall the story is not without substance; I enjoyed the read, and encourage you to read it for yourselves, especially anyone who would like a taste of the hard cold 'Hood' from the safety of your own home.

Summary: How far would you go for family?
Review: How far would you go for family?

Trustice Gentles explores the subject of revenge
"Rage Times Fury"
" Rage" is set in the Crown Heights Plaza Projects
in Brooklyn . Malik Ford is doing the best for his family and keeping his sanity together in the day to day life on the streets.

Part " Death Wish" part "New Jack City"
The plot revolves around a shoot out when Malik's son "M.J." is accidentially shot by Thugs, who wanted to kill " Drugs" a dealer in the plaza so dangerous, the cops won't touch him.

After watching his son shot, Malik plots revenge requiring a lot of clever manipulations, involving a lot of people. Before it all ends, many people will die and many lives will have been changed.
Trustice's writing style is raw, but the story benefits from it. There are some sly moments of social observation. The scene which Malik describes two women fighting over
a Christmas gift is hillarious. Plus, sence this is a street novel it's filled with the usual amount of violence,
gun play, strip clubs and crackheads roaming about for good measure.
Gentles portrayal of Malik shows you constantly what's going on in his head, you get a feel for the way he is.
" As I exhaled, it was as if all my problems and all that I was going through left my body, leaving only a moment of clarity. It allowed me to think clearly about any and every aspect of the plan....
It was like I knew the plan would work because if there were any road blocks or deviations, I would see them in my mind before this happened, and I know what to do to make it work"
The character " Carla" is in a abusive relationship, that she's doing the best with. This would've been a good sub-plot but, Gentiles shows little of the relationship.
Charaters come and go. It's all about the plot. The best thing " Rage" has going for it is " Malik"
he is a character easy to like and be sympathetic for.

Summary: Boring
Review: I have read many Triple Crown Production books before and this one just seemed to be the "wackest" book I have ever read in my entire life. It has no story line or plot and many of the things in this book did not have to be there. This book just did not make in sense to me. I would advice Trustice Gentles to stick to his day job if he has one b/c he will certainly need it. I give this book 2 thumbs down.

Summary: VERY GOOD
Review: I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I was expecting a lot of the stereotypical talk of bling-bling and killings etc. But this book has a very good storyline. I liked the way the author constructed the story and liked the twist at the end of the book. Although there is a little too much profanity for my taste, I would recommend this book.

Summary: Through the Eyes of the Beholder
Review: Malik Ford, a twenty-seven year old, working class family man, has no shame in admitting his need for vengeance. When an act of violence threatens the well being of his family, Malik is faced with a debilitating decision that could ultimately change the course of his life and those around him forever. Typically in tales that depict scores to be settled in notorious neighborhoods among rival groups, one would expect a shoot out among those groups, but in RAGE TIMES FURY what you get is not what one would expect in this tale of lawlessness. Told through the voice of Mailk, who is smart and cunning, RAGE TIMES FURY is a bitter, gritty and emotional look into the psyche of a man hell bent on righting a terrible wrong. Supported by his girlfriend, friends and an entire neighborhood, Malik takes matters into his own hands as he sets in motion a series of events that lead to a dramatic conclusion.

RAGE TIMES FURY is a fast paced book that provided some background on many of the characters involved and how they came to be, through Malik's eyes. Gentles did a very good job of providing the reader with the other characters' emotions by graphically displaying their thoughts and feelings as to the events at hand. However, I believe the book could have been more developed if the reader would have heard the voice of some of the other major characters, i.e., Soraya, Malik's girlfriend. I could feel her anguish, her pain but I wanted to hear her voice; nonetheless, this is good example of how our uncontrolled emotions can determine our fate and the fate of others. Gentles concludes RAGE TIMES FURY with a heartfelt conviction and testimony.

Summary: Came up short...
Review: This book was only mediocre to me. It seemed like it was written by someone young and inexperienced. I've read other Triple Crown Productions books...this seemed a little bit too..."light". I expected the book to be a little more on the "raw" side. It was a good book though. The whole "using your mind instead of violence" is nice and all...just too "after-school special" for me. I'd read the author's works in the future though.

Summary: A Fathers Fury
Review: Trustice Gentiles did well with his first book. It was a one day read for me. Easy to read, with a 'different' storyline 'Rage Times Fury' held my attention. It is one of those stories that have you thinking it is about to end, then the drama starts again! Although the story was a good one, I must say that the cover threw me off. I really believe if the cover is changed Trustice will sell more copies as the plot is very original.I liked the way he put the story into perspective in the last couple of pages. I am waiting for the next book from Mr. Gentiles as I feel he has so much more to say!
