Summary: A welcomed new compilation
Review: In Part 1 of the Wishbone Trilogy, Komunyakaa continued to thrill me with his exquisite and evocative use of language that includes extended and complex metaphors to underscore intense fields of imagery. Though a few of the subjects of the poems were unfamiliar to me, the human tragedies, pains, and lusts, along with an abiding sense of pastoral loneliness, were all there to once again draw me in.
