Rating: Summary: Finally, THE TRUTH Review: A truly insightful story into the depths of relationships that will keep US GIRLS talking for months. Mariah the book's focus, falls for a younger man, Malik, that seems to good to be true. With the guidance of a relationship expert, Mariah is forced to look at herself and her past relationships with men including her father and choose betweem whether of not she wants to be respected or cherished. A good one to help women get in touch with their feminine energy.
Rating: Summary: Touched My Soul Review: All I can say is that author Tarissa touched my soul!! This book is a journey of accepting self as well as what life has to offer. Mariah is a savvy late 30-something woman looking for true love in all the wrong places until she meets the sweet-talking, bald-headed Malik Tolliver who's almost 20 years her junior. Before they can settle in blissful love, they must concur some past demons before planning the future. This story touches the heart because it's not just a love story but it's a human story as well. I await Tarissa's next novel.Reviewed by M.T. Clinton

Rating: Summary: This is an Excellent book to read. Review: Are you ready for some soul searching? What about some relationship counseling? Looking for you soulmate? Since the other reviewers have already given the synopsis I only want to give this author her props for this excellent novel, I could not put it down. Every woman deserves to be "cherished" by a "mature" man and this author shows us that being mature has absolutely nothing to do with your age.
Rating: Summary: Can we say- Repeat? Review: I liked the writing and the style of May December Souls, truly, but overall I feel that this has been done before. How many times must we examine the relationships between older women/younger men? They exist, and obviously make great fodder for novels. Aside from the fact that this is a repeat, I think Ms. Monteilh's freshman endeavor proves that she is on her way to excellent writer status. She captured the heart and soul of Mariah quite well, Mariah's zeal for life, and her expectations and feelings mirror many. I think, that Mariah could continue in a sequel, and THAT hasn't been done before. The characters of this book, are real. You can just feel then permiate through people that you know and you can feel what everybody is going through. Not an easy feat for an author when the ever present temptation is to leave someone undeveloped to further highlight the protagonist. I think Ms. Monteilh is on her way and this book shouldn't be passed up for the story line, but should be explored for its literary development.

Rating: Summary: Great Start, Flat Ending Review: I must say that this book had a terrific kick-start and was moving and grooving throughout the middle. But, the ending seems way too rushed and just left me flat. A lot more could've been explored and explained at the end but it seemed like the author might've been coming up on her deadline and just ended it, leaving a bad taste in my mouth.
Rating: Summary: This is an Excellent book to read. Review: I really enjoyed this book a lot. It really helps woman be real with themselves about the men you deal with in your life. I can tell you from expereience that this book was on point with the story line because I went through some of what she did with men in her lives. The only difference is she made a better choice than I did. So it is important that the things you read you should take it in to consideration. Because the stories you read can save you from a lot of heart ache in the long run. This book will make you laugh and cry.
Rating: Summary: I could not put the book down!! Review: May December Souls is a must read...This book has an incredible rhythm that keeps you turning page after page. I love this novel for too many reasons to list...The "ladies first" theory is one that has helped my love life in many ways already. It gives a lovely illustration of roles in a relationship and reflects the strengths and weaknesses women encounter in our quest to be cherished. I recommend this book to men and women that enjoy the pleasure of sexy, sassy, and brilliant writing. Ladies, this book will have you talking for months! I am sure it will encourage you as it did me. I look forward to many more novels by Marissa Monteilh.
Rating: Summary: Older woman younger man Review: May December was a very interesting and enlighting story of of an older woman and a yonger man relationship. It also dealt with a no win or going no were relationship. I appauld Mariah for ending the relationship with Kadeem she had gone on to long with it. I enjoyed the story but I felt that Malik was much to young for Mariah. I know older woman and younger men romances are on the rise but the age difference was just a bit to much for me to be comfortable with. I can understand 3 to 5years without a problem. Malik was more closer to Mariah daughter age and she his closer to his father's age. This story also felt real, perhaps maybe like a story about the author? Just a guess for a story so well written that was belivable . I would recommend it to other readers .
