Summary: Vietnam V. Iraq
Review: Wonderful Book! Timely Story! Great book about military operations, CIA activities in the Early Days of Vietnam. This was happening in the Kennedy Administration!
When you consider all that is happening in Iraq and Afganistan, you have to wonder if we are repeating some of the mistakes of Vietnam. We appoint an interim government (Diem), we work with the South Vietnam military to overthrow the government we help appoint. Sometimes I wonder if Democracy works in every corner of the world.
I would highly recommend this book to a person interested in current events.
