Rating: 5 stars
Summary: engrossing and amazing
Review: Its hard to find where to start with this book. I loved it. Its the most powerful account of a young girls life I have read to date. The story is told through the eyes of Haddie Constance Ashton. A 12 year old in a small town. She is an only child. She had a sister that died at the age of 13 before she was born. Her sisters name was Haddie Constance Ashton. The text skips and jumps all over the place and at first is a little off putting, then you learn to love it as you find yourself inside Haddies head. Haddie is herself about to turn 13 and with her sisters death hanging over her head she strives to become her own person, and distinguish herself from the sister she never met. At the same time she is trying to solve her sisters death, she's learning about herself and those around her. Her best friend Louis Lewis is always on hand to cause trouble and spark intrigue, aswell as being an endless source of knowledge.

I cannot speak highly enough of this book.
I was so involved with it that I would read it til 4 in the morning and call my friends at the same time to read parts allowed. I cried for about a week when I finished it. Its so engrossing, I felt completely devistated when it ended and then I went and ran around in the street like a mad man.

Read it, then read it again. Then read it to all your friends.
Its magic and beautiful, its funny and tragic, and its been a favourite for about a year now.
this refers to the paperback version in English.
