Summary: Ah, the memories
Review: Yes, I was a teenage metalhead. I was actually in attendance at the Judas Priest / Dokken show at the Cap Center that was made famous in "Heavy Metal Parking Lot". I still occasionally throw Iron Maiden's "Powerslave" in the car stereo. And I loved this book. It brought back memories about the times when I would play in garage bands and read Circus Magazine. This story is about a metal singer that is trying to land a record contract with his band. I laughed from start to finish. One disclaimer: To really enjoy this book, you might want to know about early 80's metal. If you have ever owned a cassette tape from Priest, Maiden, Dio, or even Armored Saint, you will want to check it out. And if the smell of Aquanet makes you nostalgic, by all means, buy this book.
