Review: I loved the story! Evie and Robert were magnetic! I have listened to the story at least 5 times. I loved Roberts character, strong, sexy, and uncaring about women until he met Evie! Like I said, I loved it!

Review: I loved this book! I enjoyed the first book that introduced the character of Robert, "Duncan's Bride". Read that if you can before this one. He was an intriguing character there and I'm happy Linda wrote a book centering around him this time. He is wildly sexy, intelligent, and compelling here. Evie was no slouch herself. It's a great rainy/snow day read if you want to escape for a while. I recommend it highly. Another winner from Linda Howard.

Review: I really loved this book, a must if you are a Linda Howard fan. It is the type of book that you cannot put down. Linda has created two characters that draw you into their lives.

Summary: One of her best
Review: If you are a fan of Linda Howard's, this is a book you won't want to miss. This is definitely one of her best. I will take the advice of the other reviewer and not watch the movie though. I don't want anything spoiling this wonderful book and characters. If you are a LH fan as I am, some other authors that are my favorites and I think you will like as well are Gaelen Foley, Brenda Joyce, Nicole Jordan, and Jacquie D'Alessandro.

Summary: LOVING EVANGELINE SHINES IN PASSION
Review: Linda Howard writes fantastic romance and the intensity of the chemistry between Evie and Robert is searing. As usual, Howard gives her heroine a fusion of vulnerability and inner charm that is complexed and textured. LOVING EVANGELINE is great for its romance with Robert as an obstinate man who cannot bear his life to be entrapped by his fervor desire for Evie much less admitting to himself that he is in love.The emotions evoked by both of the characters are strong and passionate backed by an exciting story of fraud and embezzlement by Mercer in Robert's company. Robert suspects that Evie may be in league with Mercer and refuses to let his senses go with his heart for Evie... LOVING EVANGELINE is another winner even though the suspense element in the book falters in comparison to DREAM MAN and AFTER THE NIGHT. The passion is just as sweeping and poignant. Just like what Robert said, "LOVING EVANGELINE took away his heart and soul." No doubt - reading this book took away all my heart and soul with the splendor of their passion.

Summary: Loving Evangeline
Review: Robert and Evie were the perfect couple. Robert a man who was dangerous to anyone he thought a threat,and mistakingly thinking that Evie was, but unable to keep his attraction to her under control. Here a man distrusts with his mind, but not with his heart. He allowed his mind to tell him things that his heart knew was not true and in the process almost lost the love of his life. Evie dared to love again after so much pain and almost died when she saw that Robert would not love her with his heart, but with his mind. She had to love for the both of them. I loved the ending.

Summary: One of Howard's Masterpieces!!
Review: This is one of my favourite Linda Howard books. I am losing interest in her works as she moves to mainstream and that is a shame, because she is one of the best romance writers around. And this is good example of her work. She is just forgetting her romance roots and it really hurts her books. But this is one of her best. Robert comes to the small town marina looking for information about his brother's disappearance, maybe death. The Marina is run by Evangeline, she is his target. He knew his brother was possible smuggling information to a corporate rival, and he always came to this marina and rented a boat. In order to learn what is going on, he pushes Evangeline into an affair, using her, doubting her. She is a women scarred by a previous love. She married hometown childhood sweetheart, but he was killed in a car accident on the day they were married. It was a slow death, with both of them trapped in a car until rescuers finally found them. But not in time to save him. He bled to death, while she was forced to watch, trapped in the wreckage. Since then she had lived in their home and worked the small town marina, keeping her heart to herself. But she cannot resist this dark stranger that sweeps into her life, and forces his way into her heart. But he thinks she is using the money from his brother to support the marina. In order to apply pressure, he started making a series of financial moves that threatens everything she own. Robert pushes her to the wall, nearly taking away everything she holds dear, when he finds he has made the biggest mistake of all: he misjudged her. But it may be too late as she has discovered he is behind the bank calling in the loan, behind all the mysterious troubles nearly ruining her. Powerhouse writing from one of the best.

Review: This is the sequel to Duncan's Bride. In "Loving Evangeline", we meet Evangeline Shaw (Evie)who lives in a small town in Alabama, owns a marina and is trying to keep her life together after the death of her young husband (her childhood sweetheart)years before. Into her world enters Robert Cannon. We first met Robert in Duncan's Bride (Madelyn's stepbrother). Robert's company develops classified software that is being sold to a foreign government without his approval. His trail leads straight to Evie, who by all accounts has both the means and the motives. Determined to handle this matter himself and under the premise of vacationing in the area for the summer, Robert begins his investigation of Evie. Robert has always been attracted to tall, thin women but this five foot four traitor takes his breath away! He has every intention of bringing her to justice but as time goes on it becomes increasingly difficult to believe she is involved in industrial espionage. This is a very good read. As usual, Evie is one of Linda's heroines who can tough it out and survive. Robert plays some pretty mean tricks on her but she bounces back and eventually brings him to his knees. I hope you enjoy this sexy, sensual story as much as I did.
