Summary: Drama I Wouldn't Wish on ANYONE!
Review: I enjoyed reading Sonia Caulton's "No More LoveMaking". We meet Dede who is currently "in love" with Stephan her boyfriend of 3 years. She is having major problems with him and confides in her co-worker and backstabber "friend" Dionne. Dionne is tired of listening to Dede whine about her ups and downs with Stephan so she tells her best friend Charlotte Although she doesn't feel like she is being disrepectful in her friendship with Dede....Charlotte decides to take this little bit of information and run away with it.

This is a good read and I actually would rate it a 3.5, however it was a little drawn out and could have been a little more neatly wrapped up in the end. I wish continued success and blessings to Sonia Caulton.

Review: much drama!!! Page turner from start to finish

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Intriguing Plot + Crazy Characters = Drama, Drama, Drama
Review: No More LoveMaking is Caulton's sophomore novel, where every relationship is contaminated with lies, envy, mistrust, deceit, and unrequited love. The novel has situations that keep you turning each page, anticipating the next calamity. The characters are amazing, yet believable, audacious, yet precocious.

We follow DeDe through her beguiling courtship with Stephan, her dubious friendship with Dionne, and her strained relationship with her siblings. The writing propels you along with lurid situations and memorable characters. Drama drips from each chapter.

Consequently, the novel drops off towards the end. We are built up with an extremely toxic situation, only to be left hanging, bewildered and incomplete. Nevertheless, No More LoveMaking has a unique plot surrounded by familiar subplots. I would recommend reading this novel. It is extremely entertaining.

I would give the novel 3.5 stars, but that's not an option. 3 Stars does not indicate that this is a poorly written novel. My pet peeve is questionable endings, but the rest of the novel is colorful and exciting. EXCELLENT!

Summary: Stupid choices
Review: No More Lovemaking was not a title best suited for this novel.
While I did enjoy the story I was some what disappointed with Dede. Dede was not a wise sistah when it came to love and her relationship with men. I could not believe she would give Stephan as many chances as she did. She remind me of a statement Stupid is as stupid does, or sometimes I'm stupid.
She had a love for Stephen I would not wish on any one. I guess you can also say When a women is fed up there is nothing you can do. I was certainly hoping she would hurry up and get to that point. Just when you thought she was there think again.
It is not that much love to let some one treat you that way. Elliot on the other hand was a guy I would not let get away , especially on my part.
When she found what she needed she gave it up only to be hurt again after so many times.
I'll have to stop and say the novel started of slow for me and I was disappointed inwhich the way the story was told , I was sotimes confused and the errors ,... .

I had high hopes the editor would have done a better job. But in fact I think it was worst than the other two novels.
Having say this I still gave it 4* , it was just not the easiest read. The last 2 hundred pages had me hooked I could not put it down. I had to find out what was going to happen next.

I do hope in the future Sonia find better editors.
Sometime the errors do not bother me as much as this one did.
I loved Manhunt and Voodoo Love which I gave each 5* even with the errors but I will admit I could not give No More Love Making any more than 4* .
I hope this does not come across as negative because I certainly did not mean for it to appear this way, because I will be waiting for Sonia's next book .

Summary: Drama I Wouldn't Wish on ANYONE!
Review: Overall, I believe the author did a good job with this book. It had me hooked from the beginning, and I read it in 2 days! It had more drama than ANY woman can stand for. However, it was realistic to the world of just how gossipy and "messy" some of us black women can sometimes be, no matter what our profession. I've experienced "babymamma drama" firsthand, and it can be a messy situation -- if you allow it!

"No More Lovemaking" was a pretty good book by Sonia Caulton. Although I didn't read "Voodoo Love", I heard about the editing problems. And it seemed as though the editor on this book was equally as terrible. The punctuation was "horrendous" and often made the book hard to follow. Next time, Ms. Caulton, let ME edit your book! I may be a finance major, but I have GREAT proofreading skills! Keep up the GOOD WORK!
