Summary: Finally, the sequel!
Review: I re-read my review of Moody's first book, and it's a little strange to see how the world has changed (for one thing I have a new girlfriend). At that time, who would have guessed that our country would be taken hostage by this war on terrorism? I understand that Moody, somewhat prophetically, laid out the plot before 9/11. But the cataclysmic backdrop is really just the canvass of suspense that allows us to furrther explore characters he introduced to us four years ago, while meeting a few new ones.

In this novel, one senses a parallel between the maturing of the characters and the seasoning of the authors own hand. Secondary characters glide off the page, and the relentless drive of the plot, make this a thoroughly enjoyable read. And yet, when the curtain falls, he leaves us with some frightening questions.

Summary: This is much more than just a great read!
Review: Sneak Attack!, the much awaited sequel to Clifford Moody's first novel "Cast Down the Waters," has certainly been worth the wait!

Set in the very near future, the story follows ex-special services operatives Cil and Michele as they struggle to make sense of their lives in a world turned upside down by an ingeniously planned and meticulously executed terrorist attack which brings America to its knees and permanently alters geopolitical alliances.

Marooned on an isolated farm in the hills of New Hampshire, Cil and Michele must now contend with a world in which basic necessities can only be obtained through hard physical labor and innate cunning. In this brave new Darwinian society where only the strong and clever survive, Cil must use every skill he has to protect and provide for his family; all the while eking out an existence from the rocky New England soil.

When Sonya, Cil's one true love, arrives literally out of thin air, passions are rekindled and old scores cry out to be settled.

In the tradition of the very best action and adventure novelists, Clifford Moody has produced a work that will keep the reader glued to every page!
