Summary: [Attractive] Forced Abduction
Review: Claire Thompson is a master (mistress?) at exploring the deep, nasty psyche of the sadist, and the at the same time highlighting the erotic romance of consensual submission. This story definitely falls into the first category! Meet Gilbert Plochman, a sociopath bent on abducting an innocent and having his twisted way with her. He confuses his own bent desires with love, and somehow gets it into his mind that if she'll only open herself to his 'training' she too will come to love him as he claims to love her. What's missing, of course, is consent. Lisa is kidnapped, tortured, starved, raped and kept bound and chained. But this is one innocent who won't be kept down. I don't want to give it away, but this is ultimately a story of redemption - of standing up against terrible odds. It's also just a [attractive], nasty little romp that allows us to peek into our own dirty little fantasies. A definite MUST READ if you like BDSM and aren't afraid of graphic, brutal descriptions, though always with the poetic touch of Ms. Thompson's skilled hand.

Summary: Clair, Clair, Clair, how could you?
Review: You usually have a fire that leaves one slightly burnt but oh so warm. This book is far below your standards! Were you having a bad hair day?
Anyway, it's been done so many times and by so many people that I expected that yours would have a twist that made it a worthwile read. I forgive you. Even one as great as you misses once in a while. Buy and read only if you just dropped out of a rectory or were in prison for quite a while. The story isn't bad, it's just not up to the standard we have been use to from Clair.
