Rating: Summary: Black Lace at its best Review:
The plot of this novel provides a refreshing contrast to the typical hackneyed erotic narrative (office girl gets initiated into kinky behind-the-scenes corporate power games).
Hard Blue Midnight works as both great historical fiction and great erotica. The sex scenes are hot, and the characters are memorable. If you like being aroused in the intellect as well as the lower parts, read this.
Rating: Summary: Interesting & hot Review: Biographer Gavin introduces workaholic Lori to the mystery and eroticism of her heritage. Travel, sex, and a buried mystery are at the core of this Black Lace book. It is hot, but keeps up good characterization and plot. It has all the usual BL scenes, with an emphasis on Lori's bondage and domination. Pretty light on that, though. If you like this, try Portia Da Costa's Continuum.

Rating: Summary: The Sleeper Awakens Review: I loved this book. Lori seems to have spent her life trying her best to be totally unlike her namesake. When Gavin enters her life, he opens doors to her sexuality that she had kept locked. The reader is along for the ride, as Lori discovers who and what she is - and unravels a family mystery in the process. This author puts you right there - feeling and discovering along with Lori and Gavin. I will look for more books by this author in the future!

Rating: Summary: A tedious search for her past ..... Review: Lori, a young New England boutique owner specializing in 'vintage' lingire meets Gavin, a writer who is researching the life and loves of Lorelei, her great aunt.
Lorelei lived in Paris dureing the WW II occupation and she specialized in erotic photography, and, so the hunt is on ....
I thought the story had potential and it was almost 'in your face' as the author maintains a fast pace while characters in the book seemed to litearlly jump into and out of bed .... None of the erotic experiences really last for more than hours and some of them even fall flat! The author also injectd some teaser characters like Melanie, Lori's store employee/friend who goes through a great description of a meeting with her old high school teacher. After he spanked her the author just plain not only dropped the ball on the scene but pretty well on the characters as well.
It appeared that the writer got bored very quickly with the characters after writing them into the story, and then rather than rewrite .... she just kept the chapters in the books anyway ...
Anyway the Paris part of the book was supped to be a bondage domination thing and all I can say is thank goodness I can speed read ....
