Review: This is a great book for novices! If you are just starting to explore BDSM, and don't know much about it, this erotic book will totally satisfy your curiosity. It's about a young woman, Kathi, whose mother dies. When Kathi begins to go through her deceased mother's belongings, she finds "strange and unusual" things, such as whips, paddles, restraints, etc. She makes friends with a professional dominatrix, and through her Kathi finds her mentor, Horace. She becomes Horace's submissive and lover. This is one of my favorite books and I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the scene or interested in learning about the scene.
