Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Finally
Review: Finally, a readable book with some CLEAR essays on Lacan.
The best were by the editor, and by Jerry Aline Flieger--on jokes as narratives! Excellent. Helps elucidate very difficult concepts.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Essential account of Lacan's influence on narrative studies
Review: This essential account of Lacan's influence on narrative studies is not to be missed. High points include Jeffrey Mehlman's essay, and Jerry Aline Flieger's treatment of joke theory as narrative paradigm. All the essays are remarkably readable, which is refreshing for a book on Lacan.
