Review: This is a riveting book. If you are a fan of Gabriel Garcia Marquez, check it out. It has vivid language and an engaging plot that follows several generations of Leonce's family. Many issues come together in this book: faith, life, death, sex, fate, man's own insecurities and the influences of the spirit world. It is set in Guadeloupe and the pictures of the rural landscape literally jump out at you at every turn. You will not be able to put it down. I wasn't!!
