Review: This is an outstanding anthology !! It includes articles from a very broad spectrum of Hawaiian writers, both contemporary and historical. I've never seen a compilation of authors like this one. If you want to get a good feel for the variety of experience and styles that Hawaiian authors have to offer, this is THE book to start with. Some of the authors included are: John Dominis Holt, Katherine Luomala, Rubellite Kawena Johnson, Samuel Elbert, Mary Pukui, Gavin Daws, A. Grove Day, Yoshiko Matsuda, Cathy Song, etc.
