Summary: High Impact Poetry
Review: A comment appearing on the poetry CD Grand SLAM: the best of the national poetry slam (which happens to feature Lisa Buscani) stated that poetry is a contact sport. Well Lisa Buscani's first collection of verse certainly pacts a powerful punch, possibly below the belt for sensitive poetry fans. Lisa's poetry is easily read with an unconscious rhythm that flows from line to line. Passionate, shocking, and inspirational, the words become damn near personal to the reader. Jangle is a perfect gift to anyone who questions the power of poetry. And if you find yourself digging Lisa, check out books by fellow Slam poet Patricia Smith.

Summary: I was NOT feeling this...
Review: counting is probably the only poem i really like...i'm not a big fan of slam poetry...her stuff might sound good if it was read in public with a band behind her,but i just couldn't get into it....

Summary: Some of the best poetry of our time
Review: This book along with some of her earlier work found in the play Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind is the real deal. Counting is a poem everyone should read. Buscani's work is inspiring and thoughtful.
