Summary: What planet is he from?
Review: I must admit that I haven't read much of this book. I simply couldn't. I was offended by nearly every sentence. As an anthropologist, the subject of this book's first chapter is familiar to me; therefore, I was painfully aware that none of the author's sweeping, racist generalizations is even partially accurate. It was almost surreal to realize that this book was published by a well known academic publisher. Encountering this travesty of scholarship made me wonder whether interdisciplinary work is in fact even possible.
