Summary: A Moving Story About Love in our Complex World
Review: Most women will be able to identify with this story where a woman falls in love with a man and feels the tremendous emotional chemistry that she's always dreamed about except for one thing: he won't make a commitment to her.

For her own self-esteem, she honestly knows that it's best to let go of that relationship in spite of the pain.

There's also more to this story. Sharon, the central character, also has issues with her mother and her father that she's able to resolve through the course of the book. This process along with the support of a skilled therapist also helps Sharon to complete her heartbreaking love affair with David, the ambivalent boyfriend.

The book is written from Sharon's voice as well as David's voice so a man like myself gets to see both sides of the story. I also can identify with the ongoing Wall Street trading story that runs throughout the book.

Mourning Losses is a very real-life depiction of how a woman with complex issues (emotional separation from her mother, mourning the loss of her father, finding herself through work and creativity, exploring her sexuality, and searching for true love) moves forward in her life with honesty and deeper appreciation for your own self-worth.

This is a delightfully enlightened story about the difficult struggles that many women face and what most men have no clue about.

Summary: a true page turner
Review: Rhonda Findling is the type of writer I will definitely read again. Her book Morning Losses was truly a good book. As a woman I was able to relate to the main character, Sharon, who is dealing with identity issues and a difficult relationship. I believe most women will be able to identify with the struggles of the main character also. Sharon delves into the world of drugs and pornography and many of those scenes make for a truly interesting read. This is the kind of book you can't put down. You begin it in the early afternoon with a cup of coffee by your side and the next time you look up the early morning sun is peeking through your window blinds.
