Review: I couldn't put this book down. The story moves at a jaw dropping pace. It never slows and it always stays interesting. With plot twist galore, you'll race to the end of the book and want to pick up the next in the series the same day. This book is classic. A great sophmore effort in the Alex Cross series.

Summary: Kiss the Girls..... the book
Review: Well i really think this is a great book, with lots of twists and turns around every corner. It really reals me in every time i open the book to the page i am on, and i can never put the book down. Although this is the first James Cameron book i have read of his i have to say that this book is brilliant and can't wait to get a hold of the other books ahead of me. Anyways, i recommend it to any people who like a good old thriller who could read a book for ages... Scott 14 years old Australia

Summary: Better than Doja
Review: I read "Kiss the Girls" a while ago and it is still my number one fav. book. I really enjoyed his style of writing and the characters and all the different levels he hits within the story. The book keeps you on your toes, and makes you think. The movie was excellent but the book was so much better! I would, and have recomended this book to others; along with some other Patterson novels like "Jack and Jill"!

Review: Kiss the Girls brings every women's nightmare to reality! Once again, Patterson's unique writing style captures the reader by pushing them to keep reading until the nightmare is over. I couldn't have picked the characters better myself. Kate Rose shines by using her strong will and determination to go on. Alex Cross delivers by using his wisdom and surreal attitude to solve the most complex crime of all time. Just when you thought the nightmare was over, Patterson hits you with another twist. This novel will leave you speechless! Kiss the Girls was a true thirst quencher, but now I'm hungry for more. Novels can't come more sweeter than this!!

Review: In this riveting second installment of the series, Alex Cross is pitted against not one, but two macabre killers. This one is brought especially close to home when Alex's niece is abducted. It is a race against time as Alex tries to locate his niece and the other girls who have seemingly disappeared off the face of the earth.

Summary: Addicting despite the flaws
Review: After recently finishing the first Alex Cross novel, "ALONG CAME A SPIDER," I was a little reluctant to begin "KISS THE GIRLS" but still wanted to see why a movie studio would begin a series of films using the second Detective Cross story. Don't get me wrong, both "ALONG CAME A SPIDER" and "KISS THE GIRLS" are very enjoyable reads, not to mention fast and easy. However, I did find trouble with Patterson's too-good-to-be-true (or evil) characters, forced and scripted dialogue, and enough similar scenes in both novels to make me question if the author knows he's repeating himself (i.e. Alex Cross falling for the female lead, two nasty villians, victims being kept underground). At least I can say that "KISS THE GIRLS" was a much better novel than it was a film, despite how much I enjoy Naomi Judd and Morgan Freeman. And I'll look forward to the next Alex Cross novel as I find James Patterson's writing addictive while being a light read.

Summary: Super Murder Mystery
Review: I have never read one of James Patterson's books, or any other like it. Kiss the Girls is definitely a page turner from the beginning. There are very few parts where the book slows down, it is fast paced and exciting from beginning to end. I love the way he didn't reveal the murderer until the end. Patterson allowed the reader to guess at who the killer was through his implications and then a few chapters later he would prove you wrong. This is a modern day murder mystery that I liked for a couple of reasons. Although the killer's style isn't something I've ever heard of happening, Patterson made it believable and kept you fearing what Casanova would do next.

Summary: page turning thriller
Review: I deeply enjoyed reading the novel Kiss The Girls by James Patterson, however it only deserved four stars. The reason being is behind the Alex Cross character, he is created as the hero who is not just a homocide detective, but also a phsycologist, a single parent, drives a porche, plays the piano, is the perfect gentleman....and the list goes on. I also saw the movie of this but it is no match for the book.

Summary: Too many too perfect people
Review: Kiss the Girls will while away a plane trip quite enjoyably, but doesn't really stand up to the best in crime fiction. It simply tries to get away with too much. The hero, detective/psychologist Dr Alex Cross, is too flawless to be credible even in the world of fictional renaissance-men-cum-detectives - a sensitive & brilliant black detective with impeccable street cred. and talent in demand by the FBI, who drives a Porsche, plays jazz piano like a pro, and has the requisite mild emotional hangups with women. His family are even more sitcom, saccharin-sweet kids and a endless supply of sassy, wise-cracking and/or beautiful female relations. Poor Dr Cross's life is an endless treadmill of: bond with kids, rush out to gruesome murders, bond with kids, rush out to gruesome murders... There are 2 serial killers and kidnappings and mutilation galore, but none of this scares us. Just desribing some gory torture procedures in detail isn't enough without being to create the menace, tension and atmosphere that surrounds the acts - admittedly, very few crime authors can do this. The books starts out well but ends up losing itself with more implausabilities than it can get away with. Dr Cross is matched by a hopelessly perfect female hero - so beautiful and dedicated and talented that the murderer loves her over all others, so tough she karate-kicks him and escapes, so lucky she only just escapes death, so clever the FBI need her to help catch the murderer, so stupid she goes straight back home where the killer broke in the first time whereby he breaks in again, so tough she fights him again, so lucky she just escapes death again...you get the picture. Do read one of the Alex Cross books, and see what the fuss is about, they're not bad books, but to a great extent if you've read one you've read them all.
