Summary: Always a laugh
Review: Like previous books, this one is excellent, full of humor and a delight to read. Romantically...I found this one trivialized Plum's relationship with the men in her life and the romance part felt contrived--ie force in the events readers have been asking for or expecting rather than any surprise or creativity. Stephanie was doing just fine in developing some depth to her relationships with the men in her life. This one was bordering on filler to keep the suspense going.

Summary: I really like this book.`
Review: I never read any Stephanie Plum books, so I saw one and picked me up. Let me tell you I wasn't dissapointed, I read it right away, and I was very pleased with the book. It's a mystery book, but also has some laughs and funny descriptions and dialouge. I recommend this book, for a nice mystery with humor.

Summary: One of her best books
Review: One of the best plum books. There was enough action, laughs, and sexual content to make the book fun. I was worried because seven was a little drab. I hope she keeps up all the fun.

Summary: yummy
Review: Every time I lend the first book of the series to someone, she comes back asking for the next one, and the next one, and the next one. These books are a guilty pleasure.
Okay, she's recycled some material a few times too many, but the Ranger situation is what keeps me coming back. That's what I enjoy most about this book ;->

Summary: Gotta love Plum
Review: Still funny and still sizzling. Stephanie is back as her usual bungling, but incredibly lucky, self. I have loved books 1-7 and this was a great next installment. The books in the series are fast paced and hilarious. One complaint--I want more relationship development. What are Stephanie's true feelings for Morelli and Ranger. Janet, don't leave us hanging like this. The relationships are shallowly described. Give us more detail and emotion.

Summary: Hard Eight
Review: I just finished this book today and it was a good book but not as funny as the previous books. Some of the things that happen in Hard Eight has happened in the previous books and I think that Janet has to look at getting some fresh ideas. I will definitely read To The Nines!!!! This series is far from being dead, but could use some freshing up on the storylines.

Summary: Eight is Not Enough!
Review: The 8th book in the Stephanie Plum series is another gem from writer, Janet Evanovich. Fans of the series could not wait to get their hands on this release, and new readers will be delighted at the antics of the characters in these books. In this installment, Stephanie's mother asks her to find a neighbor's missing relative, and family loyalty (and boredom) spurs Stephanie to take on the case. However, when she gets involved, a shady landlord starts warning her off the scent, and suddenly Stephanie finds out his henchman are following her. When various bad things start to happen, (i.e. her car gets blown up again, she is followed by someone in a bunny suit, snakes wind up in her apartment, and a dead body appears on her couch) Stephanie knows she is in way too deep. She enlists the help of the sexy Ranger to help her out of this jam, and also finds herself with help from both Grandma Mazur and Lula. All of the favorite characters from previous installments return, and their antics will have you laughing aloud.

I cannot believe that there are people who actually have not read this series! Stephanie Plum is a hilarious character, and her slapstick comedy has made me laugh aloud at some strange times. If I read these books in front of other people, they invariably ask me what is so funny, and I can never quite relate the story as well as Ms. Evanovich can! There are few mystery books that can make me laugh as much as this series and yet keep me interested in the mystery, but this series does it all. Who else but Stephanie Plum can have every car she has ever owned wrecked in some way (they usually blow up), and be chased by a person in a bunny suit? If you have never read any of the books in the series, join the millions of others that have and get reading today!

The first book in the series is "One for the Money". Enjoy!

A Cozy Lover

Summary: A Tough Way To Make A Living
Review: In HARD EIGHT Stephanie Plum is working on a case involving a missing child, Annie Soder. The youngster is apparently in the company of her mother Evelyn.

The mother recently obtained a messy divorce from Steven Soder.

Stephanie works for her cousin Vincent Plum in the bond enforcement business. In this instance the child custody bond is written by a rival firm, True Blue Bonds, which is owned by Lee Sebring. Stephanie is asked by Annie's grandmother as a personal favor to find the missing persons.

In the beginning of the search Stephanie is helped by an ex-prostitute known as Lulu and Albert Kloughn, a lawyer who also doubles as a laundromat manager. The real serious assistance comes later from police officer Joe Maxwell and a fellow named Ranger with special forces experience.

The story is filled with action and a lot of original humor. Stephanie lives in a constant state of crisis and her survival depends to a great extent on the timely intervention of Morrelli and Ranger.

Summary: I was a little disappointed...
Review: I've read all of the Stephanie Plum novels and this one left me feeling empty somehow. I don't think it had as many "laugh out loud" parts as some of Evanovich's previous novels.

Summary: Hard Eight
Review: Like the seven before Hard Eight, this book is excellent. I have been reading for years and NEVER found books I enjoy more than Janet Evanovich and Stephanie Plum. The only bad thing is getting to the end and knowing you'll have to wait another year before the next one. I was turned on to these books by and 80 year old grandmother. She told me she would sit in bed at night and read and laugh out loud. She said she had no idea what her apartment neighbors thought she was doing in her bedroom. Truly delightful!
