Summary: This is amazing
Review: As soon as I got past the first chapter, I was immediately sucked into the mystery of the book. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. It's amazing. This is the kind of book that never gets boring. The mysteries are realistic, and Sue grafton gives you just the right information to keep you reading and then want more after you're done. I would recommend this book to anyone who is into mysteries or suspense. These are by far my favorite series of books.

Summary: Trust me--you won't want to read three of these
Review: Because this series is so popular, I assumed I would want to read at least three of them. What a disappointment. Grafton spends more time describing weather and what the protagonist eats each day than she does on dialogue, and the endings are all thrown together too quickly, when a mere three pages before the reader didn't know enough to speculate on whodunit. I hate to disagree with America, but these alphabet books are no good.

Summary: A is for Annoying, B is for Boring, C is for Chafe
Review: C is for Corpse by Sue Grafton is an intense book that leaves you craving for more of Grafton and Kinsey. Kinsey Milhone is middle aged, single, and a private investigator. In her newest case, Kinsey meets Bobby Callahan who asks her to help him find who tried to kill him, but just left him brutally scarred, and with a bad memory so he cannot remember many of the details of the accident that left him crippeled and killed his best friend. Soon, Kinsey is in the middle of three mysteries, and hoping to solve them before its too late and soon there will be a mystery about her death. The suspense is so think at the end of the book I found myself skipping passages just to find out what happened next.

Summary: A Must for Any Lover of Sharp-Edged Prose
Review: Grafton transends detective fiction-- her private eye is a wonderful creation with sharp eye, mind, and tongue. The pleasure in these works is not really in the mystery-- Grafton sometimes reels her solutions in from out beyond the left field fence-- but in the wonderful voice of her main character. Kinsey is a woman who's great to know, whose rough edges, keen eye, pointed wit, and engaging toughness make her a pleasure the hang around. I love these books.

Summary: Couldn't put it down
Review: I first picked up "A is for Alibi" because I had previously heard Sue Grafton's name and I was desperately searching for a new book. I thought that the idea of a female P.I. was overplayed, but I read it anyway. I have been hooked on Sue Grafton since, and the D, E, F collection was the answer to my cravings for more. The story grabs you and doesn't let go until you are finished with the book. The suspense was so intense that I read the book for hours on end just to see how it would end. Kinsey Millhone is a very real character, you really relate to her, and eventually come to care about her, that is probably what I enjoyed most about the books. I'm up to "O is for Outlaw" now and have no intention of stopping.

Summary: Whoopee! 3 in One.
Review: I've been buying the Kinsey Milhone series as they have been published as 3-in-one hardbacks since last year when I finally discovered these fun little mystery books. Oh but I now wish I had discovered them years ago. These Kinsel Milhone mysteries, as have Ms. Grafton's writing, are maturing as the series progresses.
I've skipped ahead because I couldn't wait for all of the books to be published in hardback compilations. Each time I find myself reading all three of the installments per hardback cover to cover nearly in a single setting. These are easy reads - not terribly deep but they don't pretend to be anything but. I love them for what they are - a good time. I recomend Janet Evonovich's series as well for readers of Grafton - Evanovich's heroine is more of a "character" and the situations are more unbelievable but intentionally so and therefore just as much fun.
