Rating: Summary: Entertaining Suspense Review: A fast-paced enjoyable read with many twists. Not Ms Spindler's best, IMO, but entertaining just the same.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: All I have to say is that this book is great. If you love murder mysteries/suspense with a little romance mixed in then this is the book for you. Erica Spindler is amazing. Make sure and read her next book "Killer Takes All" coming in June, 2005.
Rating: Summary: Fast-paced and entertaining. Review: At fifteen years-old Jane Killian was popular and beautiful until a tragic boating accident leaves her mutilated beyond imagination and fighting for her life. But was the accident really an accident? Seventeen years later has Jane married to a successful surgeon, Ian Westbrook, and pregnant for the first time. The happiness that overwhelms her and her husband will soon be overshadowed by a shocking crime. A woman with ties to Ian is found brutally murdered and all clues point to him. If finding out your husband is a suspect in a crime isn't bad enough, Jane finds out that her sister Stacy is the lead detective on the case. As the case heats up and more people are murdered, Jane receives a sick message about her boating accident...the message simply says "I did it on purpose. To hear you scream." Fighting for both her husband and unborn baby, Jane must face a monster from her past, one that knows her fear and won't stop until they see Jane dead. `See Jane Dead' is a fast-paced thriller with enough plot twists to surprise the most jaded readers. Jane's story is both suspenseful and captivating combining the thrills of a murder mystery with the touching story of two estranged sisters putting the differences aside and coming together in a time of need. There are separate story lines that work nicely throughout the novel, however, when they do come together at the end it's with a surprise twist that is shocking, but may be too convenient for some readers. Erica Spindler writes enjoyable thrillers in the tradition of Linda Howard and Tami Hoag and `See Jane Die' is one of her best. `See Jane Die' should increase Spindler's legion of fans and be a big beach book. Rating: Summary: This is not a ROMANTIC suspense Review: Do not confuse this book with other Erica Spindler books. It is not a romance. It is suspenseful and does surprise you at the end. Even when you think you know what's going to happen, she puts a good spin on it. It was suspenseful and did keep me reading, but if you are looking for a ROMANTIC suspense, you will be disappointed with "See Jane Die." ALso, try to avoid reading the discription of this book on the back. It gives too much away and you know exactly what is going to happen. All in all it was a good read.
Rating: Summary: Sneaky twist to the ending Review: I have read most of Erica Spindler's books, and this one is a keeper. You love the characters - Ms. Spindler makes them come alive. The book was really hard to put down. It was very well written with tons of suspense. I loved it!

Rating: Summary: Somewhat entertaining Review: I usually love Erica Spindler's Novels. But somehow this one just did not catch my interest. I noticed the editorial review said it was too romantic. I did'nt find it so. Jane was in a tragic accident when she was 15. After many hospitalizations and restorational plastic surgery she has become an artist, and married Ian. Her constant moaning about fearing the return of the unknown assailant, who was driving the boat that hit her, is kind of stupid to me. She takes her sister's boyfriend (Ian),and marries him. She and her sister have a very hostile relationship. To start with, she has inherited 20 million dollars and Stacy got nothing. You would think she would not have let herself interfear with her sister's relationship. We are told that Ian just dated Stacy, but he fell in love with Jane. Jane is very insecure both in her private and public life. When her husband is accused of murder, he lies to the police. He tells her, after he is in jail, that he did it to protect her. They don't seem to have a very trusting relationship. If Dave, who is her best friend, needs money why doesn't he just ask her for a loan. Heck, she is loaded. Then her sister and her partner begin to try to help her prove Ian is innocent. While more and more evidence points to him. We know he is innocent if the evidence points to him! The plot is very twisting, and somewhat unbelievable. I read to be entertained and it was something of a chore to finish this book. It left me with an unfinished feeling. Maybe we will get another book featuring Stacy. I just found it hard to relate to the characters in this one. It simply felt like something was missing at the end. As a matter of fact, I would like to learn Stacy's story. I found her to be the more interesting character. a

Rating: Summary: This book was great with a surprised ending Review: Okay- I admit it, I read the ending, and thought I knew the "best part" of the book, but was I surprised when I read the ending after reading the entire book that it was different than what I expected. Jane and her sister Stacey have been involved in a boating accident. They were playing hookie from school and Stacey dared Jane to go swimming and a boater "ran" over Jane and disfigured her terribly. After years of operations and therapy Jane gets her life together. Stacey becomes a policewoman. Jane's husband is being charged with murder of his patients from his plastic surgurey practice and Jane tries to prove him innocent with the help of her sister. This book keeps you guess until the end. I recommend it highly. Ellen
