Rating: Summary: Strange, strange, strange... Review: This book is *weird*. I don't know if any of you caught this, but in the beging of the book, the author swtiched from 3rd person to 1st person. What's up with that? The author also seems to wholey agree with all of the stereotypes about Mexicans. He actually seems a bit prejudice against them. This book is a bit un-realistic at times, but it was all right. It never got boring, i'll give it that. I would only recomend this book if you have nothing else you want to read at the moment.
Rating: Summary: 'Derailed - A PERFECT book for mystery lovers! Review: My Mom recommended this book to me and she said everyone who had read it just said, "You HAVE to read it to understand"!
And that is what I say in the review.
In the first chapter of the book, it didn't completely grab me, but I was a little intrigued, and then little by little, it got
to the point where I couldn't put it down, because you needed to keep reading.
This books has SO many twists, ones that I NEVER would have
guessed and truthfully just got better and better. When you are done reading this book, you are so glad your life is
 boring!
But thats why this book is SO good, its about a nice guy, who led a nice life, and then in one minute after making a decision, it completely changes his life irrecovably.
The best thing about this book is that it doesn't leave you wondering whats going to happen, it moves very quickly, and the twists and surprised come when you least expect them. I'm being vague about WHAT the story is about, but I will say it starts with a man having a brief affair, he thinks just a one tine thing, and he feels the usual guilt and pleasure, but that is the ONLY normal thing that happens, its what happens as a result of this affair, but would certainly make a man go home and hug his wife. You don't really dislike the guy who had the affair, and after a while, you truly hope he will be okay.
This book is being made into a movie with Jennifer Anniston, and
Clive I can't remember his last name, but hes a good looking
English actor and hes great for this role. This book is really one of those books that you WILL recommend to anyone who like to and no matter how different your tastes may be in reading, this is a universal books, that I have not heard ONE negative review from.
This is one of those rare books that all people find fascinating, and it also is one when just when you think, Ok, I know whats going to happen and then it goes in a completely differnt direction. Yes, you do have to pay attention, but this is such a great story, you just escape. Its so fun to read, and you miss it when your done reading. To me, thats
the kind of books you WANT to read.
Pure enjoyment! Pass this one to your friends, anyone who likes a good book. As I said, about 10 people read t his before me and everyone LOVED it!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND A REALLY HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Rating: Summary: surprises on every page Review: I normally don't like books like this, but this one I couldn't put down. I felt such a wide range of emotions reading it, from sympathy and sadness, to anger and fear. The only part I found to be a little far fetched was the ending, but it didn't deter me from recommending this book to all of my friends.
Rating: Summary: Great traveling companion Review: This is a terrific page-turner that will keep you entertained and hold your interest, even if you're stuck in the airport or sitting in a waiting room somewhere.

I don't want to give away the plot, but let me just say that nothing in this book is as it seems. Just when you think you've figured out what's REALLY going on, a new fact pops to make you think again. And it has some chilling moments too, that made me identify with the characters and read on into the night when I should have really been getting my beauty rest.

Often when I find a good page-turner, I am ultimately disappointed with the ending. Not so with Derailed, which kept its grip on me from the first through the final page. There's not a lot of edification or literary challenge here, which is fine because I was seeking good old escapism from this book, and that's what it delivers. Derailed offers solid entertainment and excellent diversion. Now that this novel is out in paperback, it's an even better value for your money.
