Summary: ONE OF HER BEST!!!
Review: It's always interesting when a character revisits a significant part of their past, as Kinsey does in this book by catching up with what's been happening to her first hasband. The second chapter (the one with the dog) is an absolute riot. I had to laugh out loud. The ending is fast and astonishing. By the way, isn't Kinsey's apartment Henry's old one-car garage. When did Henry manage to air-lift in a new 2-car garage?

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Entertaining and fast reading. Not among her best.
Review: I look forward to Grafton's new ones; however, I think Kinsey's slovenly dress and unhealthy diet was really overdone in this novel. Maybe I am just getting tired of it. I love Spenser's gourmet ways but, of course, that is Parker's style. I also felt that Henry did not interact with Kinsey nearly as much as in the past and Kinsey did not treat him nearly as well. I missed him.

Summary: I LOVED IT!!! IT WAS GREAT!!!
Review: I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys thrillers. She writes a great story and the feel of the plot is gripping. The characters are well developed. One of the better works I've read all year. This is my first novel from Grafton, but it won't be my last that's for sure. She gets five and half stars from me. Can't wait for her next one.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This is one of my two favorites from the entire series.
Review: "O" held my attention throughout all 300+ pages. It was complex, yet easy to keep up with and hard to put down. The ending (as always) was great, with the final sentence prior to the Epilogue slamming the mystery to an end.

Summary: Kinsey Does It Again!
Review: The hardest part of being a Sue Grafton fan is the wait between books. Of course while I wish they could arrive a little faster, yet, I realize a well written mystery takes time.

Grafton is excellent in O Is for Outlaw. For the first time we learn something about her ex-husband and find her once again on an adverturesome whodunit' that keeps us reading. She's a master of her craft!

Summary: Clap hands! Kinsey's back in town!
Review: I caught up with Kinsey along about "H" is for Homiside", worked backward and have been with her ever since. This is one of her best. While I hated the long wait for this one, apparently the vacation did Sue Grafton good, because this is one of her best. Kinsey, while always seeming to be VERY human, is opened up to us even more in this "past history" presentation. She's who I would have been had I been a P.I.!

I enjoy Grafton's books because they aren't heart-pounders as Cornwell's are but still have just enough tension to "keep-'em-guessing" and make the story exciting. I like that it's a quick read and like the other reviewers, I can't wait for "P is for (Purloined?). Just hope we don't have to wait quite so long for it.

Summary: As good as the originals!
Review: Sue Grafton has returned to top form. I was getting a littleconcerned with the books from the middle of the alphabet (beginningwith K), but O was superb in character development, twists and turns, as well as illustrating Kinsey's conflict.

One thing bugged me though. Did anyone else find it a little too coincidental that the scavenger hunter showed up a few days before the police? She has no contact with Mickey or his cronies for 15 years and then all of a sudden, she has TWO unrelated events that have to do with Mickey? This bugged me.

There were some other coincidences that were too good to be true, but I don't want to elaborate for readers who haven't read it.

The ironic thing is--despite these coincidences--I still wholeheartedly recommend this book!

Summary: Kinsey -- so nice to visit with you again . . .
Review: Kinsey/Sue, thank you for a wonderful weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed this book I felt like I was having an uninterrupted visit with a long-time friend -- cathing up. Sorry about the twists and turns in your life when you were traveling through them, but those twists and turns have made you a better person. I've missed you.

Summary: O is for Outstanding
Review: I have not been much of a fan of Grafton until now, I beleive that thts is the best novel she has done in a long while. The plot is interesting, the character definition excellent and the book definitely holds the reader's attention. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes mystersy thrillers. O is for outstanding, which this book can claim.

Summary: Peek into Kinsey's past
Review:

Kinsey Millhone is a person I would like to know. She's quirky, intensely loyal and tenancious as a bulldog. Additionally, anyone who is brave enough to cut their hair with cuticle scissors is to be admired. I have every volume and I've enjoyed reading all of her adventures.

I especially liked this book because we get a glimpse into Kinsey's past and begin to see why she acts/reacts to men and to tight situations the way she does.

I read this book in two sittings and would recommend it to any other Grafton fans.

To a new reader, however, I would recommend that the stories be read in order. Grafton builds something new into each one and, as they build, the reader begins to understand Kinsey and her slightly off-centered world.

P.S. Ms. Grafton -- we need more of Henry....he's just too precious for words -- and because of his age, he might not be around/spry for the rest of the alphabet.
