Summary: Poor dialog characterizes this book - a chore to finish
Review: This was another new author for me - one I won't be reading in the future. Very poor transitions from one paragraph to the next. You switch from one emotion to another in a heartbeat and are left wondering how you got there. It is not a book you can get lost in. Poorly chosen words characterize every page. "She couldn't manage a snappy reply", "She sipped at the cooling liquid" - and my least favorite phrase of all is used liberally throughout "He chuckled", "She chuckled"...IT's as if she has a list of ingredients to create a romance novel, threw them in without bothering to use them appropriately to create a great story. Better stick with authors like Julie Garwood, Nora Roberts, Kathleen Eagle, Catherine Coulter, Sandra Browne and Susan Elizabeth Phillips.
