Review: A wonderful modern day mystery for pre-teen and adolescent girls. Written in a style reminiscent of the Nancy Drew series, this author crafts wonderful word pictures of Arabian horses and the ranches in the sandhills of Nebraska. What young girl wouldn't be caught up in the action of a horse theft ring, humvees hidden in the sandhills and small aircraft circling overhead? A girl's family and boyfriend (yes, there's even a budding romance!) join together to help solve the mystery of the disappearing horses. Good, solid writing and a storyline that has just enough twists and turns make this mystery a winner. Looking forward to the next book in this series.
