When a priceless book is found 2077 fathoms under the North Atlantic Ice Barrier, the CIA/FBI, a private billionaire oilman, and a fanatic terrorist group compete to recover and claim it. The competition has potentially cataclysmic effects for the known world. Omar is a shocking, action-packed, highly recommended page-turner filled with suspense and plot twists to the end. Summary: Omar
Review: I have been a rabid fan of Clive Cussler and Tom Clancey for all of their literary lives. I still can't wait until their next novel hits the stands. After reading Omar, I eagerly added Craig O. Thompson to my roster of favorite suspense thriller novelists. I thoroughly enjoyed Omar and am axiously awaiting Thompson's next novel. It doesn't matter that Craig O. is a great friend of mine...he got this recommendation because he earned it and because his book is well worth reading and well worth adding to anyone's library. This will be a Hollywood blockbuster movie someday soon. And you can take that to the bank!

Summary: "OMAR" is one exciting thriller!
Review: I picked up the new novel about terrorism called "OMAR" by Craig O. Thompson, at the Arizona Book Festival. It is one of the most intelligent reads I've purchased in years. More than just the blood and guts that most bottom-line, leveraged buyout publishers seem to throw at us, these days, "Omar" gave me thoughtful passages and carefully threaded stories to unite the plot (which deals with terrorism under the Atlantic and a very famous sunken ship). I would compare to the best of Cussler and Clancy.

Summary: Pretty good thriller - some parts amazingly timely!
Review: I purchased this book from the author at a bookfair here in
Indianapolis and am amazed at the topic of the book and
the current WTC attacks.

Many parts of the book included sections that would match
what is happening in the headlines today and found that very
interesting.

Particularly liked the ending regarding the ocean (won't say
much more since it'll give some of the book away). Didn't know
that could happened and found it very interesting reading.

Summary: Great travel reading
Review: I received a copy of this novel from the author while standing in Rockefeller Center with the rest of the world who wished to show their signs on the Today Show. I was travelling on business and found the book to be perfect for my purposes. Lots of action broken up into three minute or so reads. It was easy to pick up and put down, and it always kept my attention. I would describe the book as a cross between Clive Cussler and Tom Clancy (without an overwhelming amount of technical jargon). It is a great escape.

Summary: WELL WRITTEN, SUSPENSFUL THRILLER.
Review: I was introduced to this book by a work colleague who is related to Craig O. Thompson. After reading the first chapter on line I was hooked and could not wait to read more. I ordered one copy, afrer receiving and reading only the first two chapters, I ordered three more as gifts. I have read Cussler, Clancy, Ludlum, Bond as well as many others; Thompson is tough competition for these old timers. Omar is wonderful, it is a page turner, suspense so intense I read until I finished it at 5:00 a.m. one morning, I didn't want it to end. A well written, accurately researched, exciting novel; filled with surprises. With great anticipation I await the sequel. Thank you Craig, my sincerest wishes for your success.
