Rating: Summary: Excellent and intelligent! Review: I seem to be reading this series backward. Excellent read, suspenseful, interesting romance, human characters. I think women will intuit the killer sooner; I know I did. This is a legal procedural and the main characters are very interesting. This is a cannot-put-down book. I will read forward from here.

Rating: Summary: The start of a great series! Review: In this intriguing initial book of the Anthony Quintana/ Gail Connors series Gail is accused of murdering her younger sister. She turns to Anthony for legal and emotional aid. When their relationship develops into a steamy romance Quintana wants off the case but not out of her life. The couple explores the old (WASP) and new (Cuban) Miami communities as they race to solve the murder. The story is well plotted and beautifully told. The main character are compelling. Start with this one and then go on to the rest of the series!

Rating: Summary: You wont be able to put it down!! Review: Suspicion of Innocence is a thrilling story about a woman lawyer named Gail. If you like legal stories, like Grisham, you'll love this book. What makes it so great is that it also goes into great detail about Gail's pressures at work and at home. This book is continued by more in the series. You wont want it to end.
Rating: Summary: You can't read just one Review: This is my second Barbara Parker novel. The first one was very slow and it was hard to stay focused on it. That novel was called Suspicion of Guilt. Now this novel, is just as slow. A lot of romance and a lot of flirting games that takes up a lot of the story. Barbara Parker also describes each person in too much detail. Don't mistake me, I think it is great that an author can describe their characters good, but I don't need to know about his sparkling jewelry and wear he bought his loafers, and about his Gucci, neatly pressed suit in EACH CHAPTER! The suspense was slow until the end. Then you got to hear about the main characters daughter's problems. Very slow moving plot for about the first 430 pages. Then the last 15 were good. The book talked about totally different trial cases that had nothing to do with the main plot of the story! By the way, Gail and Anthony are such sappy characters. I won't be reading much more Barbara Parker. If you like lawyers and suspense try Phillip Margolin.

Rating: Summary: Gripping suspense novel Review: This was definitely a wonderful story. The characters are well developed, and the story was extremely suspenseful. Its refreshing to have a strong female character who is both intelligent and feminine. I've read the first three in this series. The characters over time will turn into people who you wish you could become friend with. Enjoy your novel.
