Summary: Fantastic!
Review: Red leaves, great thru and thru. I could not wait to finish this book, it took me 3 days as much non stop as I could read. I highly recommend the book as it will keep you in suspense all the way through.

Summary: The enormity of the plan will change your view of life
Review: Simons has written an absolutely incredible Whodunit. The misunderstood, seemingly quirky nature of the heroine who dies strangely. The hero's attempts to become involved in the storyline. The brother who does not fit. It has been a very long time since I have read such an amazing story with twists and turns that leave you shocked by their simplicity. Simons keeps a very firm grip on reality and leads you to a place where you think you know all the answers, only to have that reality blown away and replaced by something more real and even more sinister. Well done Paullina!

Summary: quite a boring read
Review: this book starts out with some promise but seems to develop into a predictible and rather cumbersome plot I found the characters to be shallow and uninteresting but having said that I did find the authors style of writing to be enjoyable. A second rate secret history

Summary: A Clever Twist
Review: This book was one of the finest mysteries I have read in a long time. Unfortunately, the ending was quite disappointing and weak. However, the book all the way up to near the end was SOOO good - I sincerely hope Simons attempts another mystery. She is definitely a writer with lots of potential!

Summary: Brilliant!!!
Review: This is a real page turner that I just couldn't put down, and one of the best books I've ever read.

Four close friends attending Dartmouth
University are the main characters of the story. They play and work together. They're together constantly. When one of them
winds up dead the mystery begins with many twists and turns.
The college years are one of the most exciting times, but according to this book they can also be one of the most deadly times.

Summary: Heterodox review
Review: This is the story of a cop turned mad by a poor little orphan who he thinks has killed (and before dated) his own prospective date. Hum, well, that is at least a way to look at it :)

Summary: Excellent
Review: This was the first book by Paullina Simons I've read and it certainly won't be the last. I think she is a very talented writer but to be honest I found this book a bit of a disappointment. The first half of the book is great but after that I found it began to drag a bit. I think Ms Simons makes a major mistake in killing off her most intriguing character so early on. After the death I found myself rapidly losing interest into what turns into a stock murder mystery and all the secrets so adeptly hinted at in the first part of the novel seem to be thrown away in the second half. Also I didn't find the police procedures convincing or believable despite the fact that Ms Simons has clearly done some research.

However don't let this put you off reading the book - it's still head and shoulders above most of the dross published these days and I would have awarded a five on the strength of the first part. I'm sure that Ms Simons is capable of writing a great novel, sadly I don't this one is it ...

Summary: fast-paced fodder
Review: Very entertaining and fast moving. A little bit spooky with the element of "whodunit." Characters though are kind of flat, and the intertwined relationships between the two of them were kind of ridiculous. The author should have saved a little bit of characterization for Connie and Jim and not given what little she did do all to Albert and Kristina. A great Monday night movie.
