Review: Snow Wolf is absolutely terrific, one of the best books I've ever read. However, I recently finished his latest, Resurrection Day, published only in Europe, and not in the USA (banned, I hear, because of the controversial and sensitive subject matter!) Resurrection Day is an incredible book, prescient and right up to the minute, about an Al-Qaeda terrorist attack on Washington DC--and one of the best books I've ever read, a must for Meade fans, up there with Snow Wolf, and maybe even better. Summary: Best thriller by a relatively unknown author
Review: I would rate this book up there with the best of Robert Ludlum and Frederick Forsyth! It was gripping from the beginning and extremely hard to put down. I enjoyed the spy thrills with a touch of romance without all the graphic sex.

Summary: Outstanding Book!
Review: This is my second Glenn Meade book and I have now become a real fan. This is another Meade book that will leave you wondering about history. This book details a very convincing plot to assasinate Russian dictator Joseph Stalin.The character who are involved on both sides are written up authentic and are very realistic. The description of the Russian winters are also very detailed. Another convincing factor in this book is the cruelty of Beria,the KGB and the usage of the Lubyanka. This book besides being very detailed historically is action packed as well.Alex Slanski and Anna Khorev are key characters in this book as well. Be sure to read this book, you will not be dissapointed. It is money well spent.

Summary: Making a case for skilled editing.
Review: This book was painful to read. While the plot otherwise would have been interesting, the sloppy disregard of facts and inattention to detail make the book embarassingly amateurish: 1)How can a one-armed man ride a BMW motorcycle that requires left-handed clutch and right-handed throttle operation? 2)How can he kick-start the motorcycle with the start lever on the right side when BMWs of that era had levers on the left side (to allow for a sidecar on the right)? 3)How can the world's best hand-to-hand combat trainer get beaten up 3 times in 30 pages (once by an untrained, petite girl)? 4)How can someone described as wearing a fine suit and a heavy overcoat be given an injection by rolling up his sleeve? Quality is in the details, Glenn.

Summary: Unbelivable arrogance and ignorance
Review: An incredible book, written in the worst traditions of the Cold War, it's not only anti-communist (which may be a sort of obligatory to get a book published), but Russophobic as well (you read that most Russians are "dirty and stupid" - and a lot of similar or even worse things! - perhaps it is also becoming obligatory?). The book is one of the worst examples of such mass-production I have ever seen. And that's not all. The author's arrogance is unbelievable: he KNOWS VIRTUALLY NOTHING about the time/country/events he is writing about!! The book is full of silly mistakes including, in particular, even Russian names (e.g. "Petya Ivan Stefanovich" instead of "Petr Ivanovich Stefanovich" etc etc), Moscow topography (you drive from Lubjanka via Arbat further to the East(!), along the frozen banks of the Moskva-river(!!), and so on) and many other obvious and well-known facts which any person attempting to write a book of that sort should know. The funniest mistakes are perhaps using "Amerikanski" for the Russian word "Amerikanec" (= an American national) and "Turkmenistans" (!!!) instead of "Turkmen". Listing all such "flops" would take hours and hours. A minimum research before starting the book would do no harm. Last but not least: the plot itself is quite ridiculous and naïve, situations created by the author's imagination are hopelessly unrealistic. Pity that such a book has ever been published. Amazing that some people like it. Sad that it became a bestseller - whatever it means .

Summary: Better than most
Review: I liked it but there were flaws. The biggest was when the "hit team" didn't search the bodies of the men who attempted to kill them. Consequently the cat was out of the bag. The author should of come up with some other way to tip off the target. Again, this being the most world-shaking mission ever undertaken, it seems to me that each member evolved in the mission would have been assigned a group of undercover bodyguards to watch their back and to protect. And there was a few more. Other than that is was good! Allot better than most, that's for sure.

Summary: Full of Action
Review: This book is simply excellent. It is gripping, full of action, intriguing, surprising and shocking. The description of the events, the characters and the expressions are very well detailed. I think is Meade's best book so far, followed by Sands of the Sakkara (which was very enjoyable also). Anyway, it made my commuting more enjoyable.

Review: This is one of the best books i have ever read. It is a suspenseful novel, that you simply cannot put down. It has everything you can possibly want in a thriller/action novel. It has everything starting from noonstop action, to graphic violence to sex. What more can you possible ask for? Read the book, you will not regret it!
