Summary: Well done!
Review: If you love mysteries, you'll love this one. I was intrigued from the cover to the very last word. All I have to say to the previous reviews is, Ditto.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Author of The Dead Angel
Review: Of course I like this book. I wrote it!!...and I'd like to give the reader a little more descriptive detail than would fit in the space allowed on the back cover of the book. I promise not to give anything away.

This novel is the first in the Hannah Bell detective series. Hannah is a Chicago detective (in her mid-thirties) who is investigating the death of a wealthy young woman in her mother's mansion in Chicago...yes, I know, it says that in the blurb on the back cover. What it doesn't say is that this young woman is a twin; and so is Detective Bell. Hannah's sister, Heather Bell, went missing 25 years ago when the girls were eleven years old. Heather's disappearance is one of the reasons Hannah went into police work. During the investigation into the death of Angela Allen (the wealthy young woman), Detective Bell shares with the reader some memories of her life with her sister and of some of the events of their childhood. In the end, we not only find out what happened to Angela Allen, but also what happend to Heather Bell.

Enjoy reading the story. I enjoyed writing it, and am working diligently on the second one.

Summary: Refreshing new author can truly write!
Review: Summertime is my reading time every year. As a schoolteacher, the academic year keeps me too busy to read for recreation. I have found a new author to love this summer. Carolyn Rowe Hill has written an intriguing, highly addictive story in The Dead Angel. She apparently is new since I can find no other works by this author. What impressed me the most was that of all the books I've read this summer (20 so far), hers is as good as and better than any one of the others I read by better known authors. Keep them coming, Ms. Hill. I like your style!

Summary: Fantastic Read
Review: This book gets you hooked immediately. I am not an avid reader and I read the entire book in two days because I just couldn't put it down. The author gives wonderfully descriptive details of each of the characters and I felt as though I knew them personally. Just when I thought I had the ending figured out several twists occured and I was very suprised. Is there a sequel coming? I would look forward to reading another book from this author!

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Very poor
Review: This novel is poorly written, with unconvincing characterization and unbelievable plotting. In some places there is too much detail, in others not enough. Instead of having the characters demonatrate their feelings or thoughts, the author told us. The whole thing just did not hang together. I own this book now but not for long!
