Rating: Summary: Snagged, but not Fleeced Review: Carol's books are hit or miss... Snagged has to be her best yet, Snagged mixes the right amount of fun with humor.
Rating: Summary: WOW !! Review: I see from the other reviews that people either LOVE this book or HATE this book! I think its fun and written well -- I canNOT agree with those that put it down. Read it and see for yourself.
Rating: Summary: Good and entertaining read Review: I thought this was a good, light read with a bit of humor and interesting characters. I have just started reading Carol Higgins Clark's books (this is my third) and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a light mystery read with a touch of humor.
Rating: Summary: very fast light read Review: If you need to kill some time in a waiting room, I recommend this light reading. The book reads quickly , I like the wriing style, and overall the story is "fun"... as fun as senior citizens watching Matlock daily in the nursing home. There is no real violence so it is very sedate and you'll be able to go to sleep without checking under the bed. The suspense really revolves around the sale of the pantyhose rather than the characters being killed. Overall, if you need to forget your troubles, dive into this book which requires minimal brain activity.
Rating: Summary: Great Beach Read Review: Stinker! could more aptly describe what this book should be entitled. I tried this as my first CHC novel. What a joke. She has missed every one of her mother's tried and true techniques at building suspense. In fact the book is laughable in its attempts at a new genre - comedy/mystery novels. I even found myself so bored that I simply read to finish the book , and then donate it to charity. In her mother's novels, one is lead along chapter to chapter , and feels that there must be numerous potential actors in the murders. In this Snagged book, one just doesn't even care. Looks as if we readers were snagged.
Rating: Summary: Unputdownable Review: This is one of my most beloved websites ever, and after voraciously devouring CHC's "Snagged", my first Regan Reilly mystery, I was utterly aghast at the unbelievable one-starred review. I believed this book to be one of the best mysteries I've ever read. And I've read neary 300, and I think I'd know a lemon when I spotted one. CHC keeps the suspense moving right along, the story is...usnagged, unsnared, unhitched, hurtles along the pages like a wildfire. Okay, so the ending is just a tad too pat, a tad too perfect, but it's still a great novel. She writes like her mother, in the same classy, almost elegant style. I, personally, think CHC is a much better novelist than actress. Do yourself a good deed and pick up a paperback copy of "Snagged". You'll be sure to enjoy it.
