Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Very Funny Mystery
Review: When Lizzie Mast dies from eating a poisoned crepe, Melvin Stoltzfus, police chief of Hernia, Pennsylvania, asks his sister-in-law, Magdalena Yoder, owner of the Penn-Dutch Inn to help him investigate the crime. There are plenty of suspects, including the residents of Hernia, as well as guests at the Penn-Dutch Inn.

All of the books in this series are humorous, but this is one of the funniest ones so far. One of the funniest scenes is when one of the guests "shrinks" Magdalena. Interspersed with the humor are details of Amish and Mennonite life, especially the coming of age of Amish teenagers. The mystery itself is almost incidental to the humor and character interaction.

This is delightful entry in a delightful series.
