Summary: Village murder with a medical twist
Review: Clark's Scotland Yard team of Masters and Green focus on murders with a medical or science twist. This one asks how a young woman by mere coincidence manages to serve a meal whose elements all combine to create a deadly reaction with the medicine of one her guests. It couldn't possibly be an accident, especially when her doctor lover has such a great motive for wanting the man dead. But Masters believes her innocent, the trick being to prove it.
