Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Not the best of this series.
Review: This book is not up to the standards of the rest of the series. We're still on Martha's Vineyard and there are still bluefish to be had, but the plot is a bit far-fetched. J.W. is about to propose to his beloved, Zee, when she is kidnapped. There is a visit from the Padishah of Sarofim (where's that?) a missing necklace, and other inexplicable happenings which add up to a less-than-believable plot. The other books in the series are delightful, so don't let this one discourage you!
