Both Teo and Ellie have a lot to resolve, separately and together if they want to make a life together.

Although there is a murder committed in this tale, the focus is on families and it strains and secrets. Nina Vida has written a very creative and enjoyable novel that will appeal to mainstream and genre fans.

Summary: Depressing
Review: The writing, if you're not one of those people who looks for verbs in sentences, is superior, and the story contains many original elements. The author does not shy away from realism, but who reads to be depressed? The main characters seem to sleepwalk through the pages (maybe because they're depressed) and there is a lot of talking at cross purposes, most often about food. I don't know if this was for comic effect or because people are prone to doing that in real life, but it went too far and almost made me put the book down a few times. The title and cover are misleading. The novel is more about people caught up in depressing relationships.
