Summary: Sibling Sleuths
Review: It was a rainy day on the Cape. Time on my hands. Ms. Cummings book was there. I picked it up for want of options. But I found, to my delight, it wildly exceeded my very modest expectations. Jeff and Peg, the sibling sleuths, are marvelously realized pre-adolescent charmers. Their unraveling of the year old mystery of arson which continued to scar the community into which they had been dropped for a summer with their very New England aunt is engaging. The details of life on the Cape, the people typology, and the interesting facts of nature encountered en route to the solution of the mystery are riveting.
I want to say that this is the perfect book for fifth, sixth and seventh graders. But it feels condescending to say that as all that I actually know is that it was a perfect book for me.

Summary: A page-turning slice of Cape Cod!
Review: On a recent visit to Cape Cod, I picked up Adelaide Cumming's book, "Mystery on Cape Cod." The book was written for teenagers and young adults. Since I am an adult, I plan to give the book to my some of my nephews and nieces. I decided to read just the first chapter to get a feel for the book and was unable to put it down! I read the book from cover to cover in one sitting! It is a great yarn and a real "page turner" that kept me in suspense until the end! I was also impressed by how well researched the book is and how much I learned about Cape Cod after reading it! I take my hat off to Adelaide Cummings for a truly enjoyable book!
