Summary: From the author
Review: I wrote "The Last Coffin", a suspense/mystery, to portray a sense of the old and new South as it intertwines with the Gullah culture, beaches, restaurants and other locals around Hilton Head Island and Beaufort, S.C. If you like fascinating characters, including Attorney General Kate Guesswine, Detective Justin McCreary, and occult radio hostess Courtney St.James, as well as murder, mayhem and romance, then your money will be well spent when you buy this book!

Summary: The Last Coffin
Review: Looking for a strong willed, intelligent heroine? Then look no father than Kate Guesswine, South Carolina Attorney
General. It appears that Kate and her sister Courtney have become the target of a serial killer. Is the killer targeting Kate
because she tried a case of his or could it be that Courtney has became his object of desire as Courtney is a well known
late night talk show radio host?

All this takes place in the South Carolina in an area centering on Hilton Head and Beaufort, South Carolina. While
dealing with these attacks Kate must also deal with an amorous ex-husband who is also a police detective, a boyfriend
who is acting a little flaky and her father, a famous doctor who appears to have become more than a little psychotic.

Intermeshed within the stories is glimpses of Kate and Courtney's unusual childhood and a lot of bits and pieces
about the Gullah culture that still thrives in parts of South Carolina. Gullah being a combination of Creole French and
African languages that evolved when the slaves were brought to America.

I loved having a strong female lead that did not tuck her tail and run at the first sign of trouble. Sure she was scared
and unsure but she was determined to tough it out but Kate also knew when to play it safe. She did not appear to
knowingly walk into trouble like so many of today's heroines do.

I look forward to more books by Ms Duckro and especially books featuring Kate Guesswine. Review by: Susan Johnson

Summary: Fantastic mystery!!
Review: This is the type of mystery that grabs your attention from the first page and holds your interest until the last! I found it hard to put down, with an extraordinary heroine who commands ones attention! Ms. Duckro knows how to set the scene, in this case Hilton Head and Beaufort, South Carolina, and to tell a tale of intrigue, excitement and concluding suspense which will surprise even the most avid mystery reader. An excellent first effort, with the promise of yet more to come.

Summary: Fantastic mystery!!
Review: What a family, the Guesswines. Once I started reading I could not stop. An unexpected twist in the ending keeps you guessing to the very end. I recommend this book for anyone who likes a great mystery. If you like Patricia Cornwell you will love Rebecca Duckro. I can't wait to see what happens to the Guesswines in the next book.

Summary: Spine tingler
Review: You'll be looking over your shoulder if you read this chiller. It has it all...suspense, romance, and culture. Duckro's style of writing is lyrical and will help you see the vivid details of the low country of South Carolina, a tomb and an old mansion. You'll find out why I said this was a spine tingler when you come face to face with the serial killer who confronts the Guesswine family.
