Summary: Caution! Don't give the book away
Review: All small towns have an unofficial town hall and in the case of Mauch chunk, PA, it's the Sunrise Diner. Author Leonard Johnsen uses the establishment as the central information disseminating point in his novel by the same name. It's here where you'll meet many of the colorful characters in this mystery which is full of twists and turns until the final chapter. As with previous Johnsen novels, the characters are well developed and the story line well planned.

The senseless suicides of a soon-to-be-married couple has the town talking and, of course, it's the main topic of discussion at the Sunrise Diner. Why? Another suicide? Why?

Leonard Johnsen has become one of our favorite authors, and the Sunrise Diner was no disappointment. As with the characters in the story, you'll find yourself speculating throughout the novel which will hold you in suspense until the very end. Sunrise Diner is a must read for lovers of suspense.

Caution! After reading, don't give the book away. You'll probably want to go back and read it again, even knowing the outcome, just to enjoy some of the characters again. In addition, there is some romance in the Sunrise Diner, and as in other Johnsen novels, the dialogue always offers some quotable verses.

Summary: Spring Lake author has brought us another thriller
Review: Len Johnsen has brought us another thriller with his newest novel, Sunrise Diner.

Similar in suspense to Johnsen's previous novel, A Capital Crime, but contrasting in the timeline and setting, Sunrise Diner offers the reader a glimpse of reality mixed with a fictional storyline filled with unexplained mysticism.

Sunrise Diner is filled with suspense and likable characters who, because of past occurrences and current events, are intertwined in murder and intrigue. Johnsen's talent lies in his ability to create an ensemble of characters who appear to be as real as the 'guys' in the next booth and events that take the reader on a mysterious escapade up until the very end of the book.

What does Cell #17 have to do with the hangings? How do the Molly Maguires from the late 1800's come into play in this story? You will have to read Sunrise Diner to discover the answers.

Summary: Live in Jim Thorpe
Review: Lived in Mauch Chunk and then Jim Thorpe my whole life. Enjoyed the book very much. Living in this small town I can actually see it happening. Knowing all the places; especially the Sunrise Diner; where I went as a teenager, made me feel like I could not put it down till it was finished.
