Summary: The Day Of The Rose
Review: .... was an excellent start to the professional writing careers of Larry Hobson/Anita Wilson Shaw in the field of adventure/mystery novels. It had all the intrigue, adventure and romance a reader could want. The end was a real kick in the heartstrings! Almost too .... Oooops! Can't give away the ending, now can I? <Chuckle> Am awaiting #2!!

Summary: The Day Of The Rose
Review: Dean Ketter and Brian Roberts, lifetime friends and business partners were busy in their oil company offices when they got the news. All of the employees on their oil rig in the Persian Gulf were dead-killed by a mysterious virus. While they hunt for a motive, Victoria Manning, a biological warfare researcher hunts for a vaccine to prevent spread of the virus.
The story is further complicated by the discovery of an old journal that hints of a family rivalry many years in the past.Rivalry between the partners had become a tradition over the years as they sought to beat out each other in athletic tests and conquests of desirable females.
Victoria Manning adds to the rivalry when she comes into their lives and divides her affection between them. The competition mounts as she continues to appear and disappear, tantalizing the partners who vie for her attention.
The result is a suspenseful tale complete with romance, action and intrigue.
If you like stories of terror, love, travel and complicated plot twists, this book is for you.
"The Day Of The Rose has all the ingredients for a great read- intrigue, romance, and sex.

It's a wonderful surprise for a first novel and will keep you turning the pages late into the night." -
Walter Cunningham, Apollo 7 Astronaut and author, The All-American Boys

Summary: The Day Of The Rose
Review: I found the book very well written for newcomers and could see this story on the big screen. The action in the book keeps you on the edge of your seat, yes the book could use a little help in a few areas, but some of the well known authors need some help from time to time also. From what I've read about the authors they are new and I do believe we will be seeing more books by them. I think the book is a book worth a read.

Summary: The Day Of The Rose
Review: I received a book called "The Day Of The Rose" to review. After reading the story I would recommend it to everyone who enjoys a good read. This book is one of the Authors first books and for a first we sure hope to see more by the two Authors. Good luck to both the Authors and may they both continue to write

Summary: What!!!
Review: If there was ever proof that turgid prose doesn't produce a good book, this is it. The plot consists primarily of a series of accidental motions that manage to endanger the world while the two heroes trip over each other in an attempt to claim sole proprietorship over Victoria Manning's pants.

If you like really, really silly attempts to turn catastrophes into romance novels buy one. I don't. Ewwwww!

Summary: An Intriguing Story
Review: The Day of the Rose is an intriguing book, but what else could it be? When you have sabotage on offshore drilling rigs and bacterial warfare, that's an explosive mixture.

Add to the intrigue not one, but two delightful romances, and you have a book that's difficult to put down. From the first chapter that includes a mysterious first encounter, to the last chapter - an excellent wind up of the story, the book carries the reader from adventure to adventure, from kiss to kiss, and certainly from page to page.

I'd recommend this book to anyone who enjoys adventure, romance and a story that will make them laugh and cry.
