Rating: Summary: Worst book ever written Review: This book was facinating in the same way that a three car accident on the highway is facinating. This is quite possilby the worst book I've ever read. The first chapter was ok but beyond that, it was a train wreck. I kept thinking to myself, this has to get better, it just had to, but to my chagrin it never did. The only good thing about this book is I didn't have to pay full price for it. It's so bad, I wouldn't even recommend borrowing itAfter I read this book, all I thought was, there's 2 days of my life that I will never get back Ebony page turners BOOKCLUB
Rating: Summary: A must read-"Unpredictable Justice" Review: This book was incredible. As a young women of minority decent it is not to often you get your hands on a good, well written, and thought out book like this. Shades of Justice is a book that should be on every high school reading list. The description is incredible and detailed so that the imagination can place you within the pages. While the suspence keeps you turning the pages with the same attention you'd give to a gossiping girlfriend with some juicy info. My hats off to Mckeever-Bullard
Rating: Summary: LOVED IT Review: This was an excellent book with a major messae. I was a little upset with the shallowness of the main character in the beginning. However I read I watched the character grow and learn. It was good to see both an imperfect character make mistakes and suffer the learning pain necessary to correct her imperfections. I was upset when I read other customer reviews that seemed to give the ending away and almost did not finish the book. I am glad that I did. The ending was not completely given away. There were a few aspects that were a little far feteched or preditable. Yet the overall book was great.
Rating: Summary: Excellent First Novel Review: When I started reading this novel I became exteremely upset. The attitude of the main character was scary and the the depiction of the upward mobile African American professionals was digusting. But I could not put this book down. That's the sign of good novel. Ms. Bullard will succeed as an author because critical reader and writer that I am she kept my attention. African American woman are expected to make everybody happy, this book did not make me happy it entertained me I think that was the prupose. This peice of fiction was just that a story. I do not define myself nor my people by a novel. I can't wait for Ms. Bullard's next novel.
