Summary: I read all four books - and enjoyed the stories and style
Review: Fast, well written and I enjoyed the characters... that's what i want to say about SMOLDERING. Harris gives you enough clues and description to make the book enjoyable and not overwhelming. Harris writed about the same people in each of her books, which adds to the charm. Her police investigation keeps the book moving forward.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Great Characters!!!!
Review: Harris can really start her books with a reason to keep you reading. She has great plots and characters that keep the story rolling. She has several key players instead of just one which gives the stories more depth. Her style is easy to read.

Summary: Great Romanic Mystery
Review: Harris has a great style - she mixes a police murder investigation with smooth romance. I like the combination. You work along side the officers and get to see what the other side of thier lives are. Harris keeps the story moving with real dialogue. Harris produces great summer time reading.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Hot! Hot!
Review: I bought all four of Harris' books and liked each one of them. Smoldering investigated a fatal fire and the police work contained in the book was so real. Harris writes about the same characters in each book - I learned a little more about each person in each story. Harris writes in an easy and straight forward style without adding boring detail. She keeps you on track as you quickly turn the pages.

Summary: Great Story!
Review: I enjoyed the book from the beginning. Harris puts in just the right amount of information to move the book along. She brought back the same characters as her first book THE CAPTAIN'S FUND. I like that.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: thrilling
Review: I like authors who use the same characters from book to book. I read THE CAPTAIN'S FUND first and then this one. I enjoyed learning more about the people Harris created. Harris starts the story right at page one and the action continues until the bad guy surfaces.

I found the people in the story to be real and believeable. I do hope Harris writes another one.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: It moved from page one until the end

Harris keeps you informed throughout the story. You want to turn the pages to learn what's going on. Her writing style is easy and comfortable.
