Review: I've always been a fan of Effinger's novels because their witty, dark and extremely entertianing. Shadow Money is no exception. It follows the lives of various people who are desperate for money and are pulled to simple plan of extortion by a sleek, stylish romantic. Operating with the upmost of stealth, they find that they are dragged into a net of decept, trechery and terror. Things soon go terribly wrong. An excellent read for the quiet nights and dark weekends.
