Summary: The begining is near...
Review: Load knows, we all know about the Y2K bug. Come 23:59 31-Dec-99 the clocks in all the computers will roll back to 1900 and the computers will 'think' that they are back at the beginning of the 20th Century.

But... what if.... What if it wasn't just a computer glitch? What if time really was going to jump back to 1900 on New Year's Eve and we all woke up the next morning in the world of January 1, 1990?

Of course, that would be silly. Time doesn't jump backards, does it? But what if this wasn't just a silly idea? What if you were a programmer working on Y2K simulations and you began to get the impression that maybe this was not such a silly idea after all? What if the people with whom you shared this 'silly idea' started disappearing one by one?

This is a tightly paced book with an unpredictable ending which leaves you guessing until the last page. The characters are well constructed and the conversations between them draw you in and lead you to feel concerned about what is happening to them.

I recommend this book highly for your own reading or as a gift for a friend or colleague.

However, you had better hurry... Come the turn of the century, we'll all be plunging back into the year 1900 and this book and all the trapping of the 20th Century will evaporate. Of course, that's a silly idea... isn't it?
