Summary: One of the best examples of the "Paperback Originals."
Review: Day Keene was one of the most prolific writers of the Paperback Original periods, when pulpmagazines died out and novels took their place. The Big Kiss Off involves a returning warveteran who has found that his wife has divorced him, sold his childhood home and taken upwith the town bully-turned businessman in a shady business deal. Our protagonist does his own sluething which leads to somegenuine excitement.Some other authors from this underrated genre are Charles Williams,Charles Willeford, Robert Fuller and Al Fray
